About Mr. Pinkesh K.

Mr. Pinkesh K. Jain is a distinguished Joint Controller of Patents & Designs, Patent Office, Government of India, with over 24 years of experience in the Indian patenting system. He has held several key positions, including National Coordinator for Patents and OSD (Technical) at the Office of the CGPDTM. His expertise encompasses patent examination, prior-art analysis, patentability assessment, opposition matters, IPR awareness, policy coordination, and strategic planning. An Electronics Engineering graduate and LL.B. from Mumbai University, Mr. Jain has completed WIPO’s General Course on Intellectual Property with 95% marks and undertaken specialised training with WIPO, USPTO, JPO, NLU Delhi, and IIT Bombay. With extensive experience across technical, legal, administrative, and policy domains, he is a highly experienced professional in India’s intellectual property ecosystem.
