Ms. Taruna Gupta has 30+ years of IT industry experience at TCS, spanning across the entire gamut of Intellectual Property Management & Governance , Product Engineering, Presales, Business Strategy Planning, Program Management and Delivery, Practice, Alliances and Analyst Relations Management. She is part of the Leadership team of TCS Corporate IP & Engineering Group and is responsible for establishing and maturing corporate IP governance processes and systems for TCS, customer and third-party in IP products, platforms, solutions and services. She also works closely with different TCS business units to guide them on IP creation & protection, risk management and assetization; enabling them with IP and software engineering best practices and compliance to IP commitments and establishing IP linkages in TCS offerings. She regularly interacts with global IP ecosystem stakeholders, including industry and professional bodies, government agencies, and other organizations, to promote collaboration, policy interventions, and ecosystem maturity in intellectual property. She has also represented TCS on the technical advisory board for the Indian Patent Office and has been associated with Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) since 2014. Prior to this, she held leadership roles across TCS Life Sciences and Healthcare, Energy and Resources, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing and Utilities and Travel & Hospitality units and led the TCS Knowledge Management Practice.
